Now

What I'm focused on at the moment.

Settling in

We moved to the Upper West Side this summer, and most of life right now is the good work of making a new place home — new routines, new bodega, new running order for the weekend. It was a summer of getting out of the city too: the Berkshires, the Poconos, and the Rhode Island coast.

Sticking my head up

After a few heads-down years, I'm deliberately looking around: getting genuinely current on AI and agentic tools — not headlines, hands on keys — and thinking honestly about what the next chapter of work should look like. The day job is leading product engineering at The Tie; the workshop is a small fleet of consumer apps I build to keep my hands in the clay.

Reading

Scaling People by Claire Hughes Johnson — tactics for management and company building from Stripe's former COO. Reading it the way you read a book that describes your actual job. The running log lives on the nightstand.

Playing & watching

EA FC and Spider-Man 2, mostly with friends — gaming has always been a social thing for me. And now that Manhattan is right outside the door, I've been going to the movies a lot more. The habit is the point; the showtimes are negotiable.

In the kitchen

Nothing ambitious lately — just the old reliables on rotation. Next up: tres leches. The keepers land in the recipe box.

This is a now page. If you have one, I'd probably enjoy it.
